Reflections & Artifacts
In this standard, teachers are supposed to apply what they've known to the new situations with new technology products embedded in. In my opinion, as long as the teacher masters the essence of one type of tool as well as the attached methodologies, he would not worry about confronting with new tools or problems. Also, the standard underlines the importance of communicating with peers, parents, and the community. The course site and blogfolio artifact both can show teacher’s teaching philosophy, thus can be regarded as a window for other teachers or parents to understand the personality and professionality of the teacher. Besides, Scoopit is a useful tool for teachers to stay connected with the education community since they can read others’ collections via searching for certain tags.
Future Learning Goals
Promoting the communication and collaboration among colleagues, parents, and the teaching community is one of the future goals in my teaching career. Technology makes it much easier to effectively communicate with the outside world thus as a teacher, I would grab the opportunity and learn more from others’ teaching practices. Also, again, the standard underlines the integration of technology in education. Thus I’ll try to be more professional in using the technology tools and communicate with the teaching community to exchange ideas and make progress together.
